When I Grow Up

I have to say he was a lot better than I expected. I’m not keen on the guy personally; but he is an ex-Beetle, so we had to go and see him. And Beetle fans loved the show. I’m afraid I didn’t recognise a lot of the songs he played as Seargant Pepper is the only album I’ve listened to more than once, and he didn’t play a single song off that one. I was also annoyed because I put my camera away literally seconds before the amazing firework display during Live and let Die!

It was a really good show and he was enjoying himself – which made the crowd enjoy themselves. It was his last date of his tour and I think because of that, his encore went on for nearly as long as the show itself – he went into song after song! Of course the highlight was when he sang Hey Jude and my daughter, Jude was sitting on Chris’s shoulder singing along at the top of her voice and occasionaly yelling, ‘that’s me, that’s me!’ She was so excited, it fair brought a tear to me eye.
