I really would recommend this place if you’re planning to hire surf stuff in Newquay. I was always looking out at prices of other places, and you won’t get ripped off here; I got a pretty good deal. It was £10 a day for my Mini Mal, or any other custom board and £5 a day for the wetsuit. It was £5 a day for beginner’s boards. But as I was having it for 3 days I was charged £37; though I’m not sure what exactly the discount was, or whether they just made a mistake!
I was pleased because I was actually given a women’s wetsuit, not a unisex one, which, as all ladies know, really means it will fit men and we just have to put up with it. It fitted well and was quite flattering – as wetsuits go anyway.
The shop was well equipped for all your surfing needs, and the staff were surfers and knew what they were talking about. Also a surfing video to watch while you’re queueing!
The only down side to many people is that you find it at 64 Tower Road, Newquay. Right between Fistral and Towan beaches, but if I’d had to carry the board to either one, I’d be knackered when I got there. And it would be worse for the big beginner’s boards. There are parking spaces in front of the shop though, so perfect if you have a surf rack, or a campervan like me!
