I swear this woman has the most beautiful voice in the world; it’s mezmerising. I don’t think she opened with a particularly good song, but her set picked up very quickly and she put loads of energy into it. The kids and I had a good old dance just outside the tent and I was surprised that the sound from there was fine (unlike the accoustic tent in past years). It was a lovely sunny evening and I could wonder into the Avalon Stage tent whenever I liked and got a good view of the stage and Katie and the band. She didn’t just stand there playing the guitar; she danced round the stage and talked to the crowd so there was a great atmosphere and I really enjoyed it.
