When I Grow Up

Our Rayburn 345w is here!!!

Unwrapped and shiny and new.

Here is my beautiful, lovely, wonderful, gorgeous, fabulous new Rayburn.

It has been sitting in position in the kitchen for a few days now; with me, every time I pass by giving it a little stroke. Occasionally I bend down and kiss it. Perhaps that’s not natural, but I’d

be very surprised if any other woman who received this sleek black heating machine wouldn’t be the same. I’m not stupid, I know it won’t look this shiny and new for ever, but for some reason, I feel that with each new cake crumb or spilt drop of olive oil, I will love it all the more.

Trying to dry the mortar in time!

So anyway, the people are here and currently sorting out the chimney and hopefully by the end of the week I’ll be cooking on it and we’ll have a lovely warm kitchen. Ooooh I can’t wait! (claps hands and jumps up and down.)
