I’ve always wanted a clean crisp look for the Oshun website with the items clearly shown at a glance, so I went with photographing them flat with a plain white or black background – similar to the style in the Joe Browns Catalogue and also I noticed recently, on the Toast website. However, there is a disadvantage in not being able to see the clothes worn. As you probably know, clothes generally look better once worn, than on the hanger. I haven’t got the budget yet to hire a model, and anyway, when most of my clothes now are unique one-offs, usually in one size only, there seems little point. So the next best thing is the mannequin.
There is the Mummy, a slim size 8-10, a child age 3-4, but can grow a few inches, and a child age 6-7 who seems stuck at that height, but I’ll hopefully be able to remedy that! I could do with an older child really, but as I have a couple of those in real life aged 12 and 15, they will do instead for now!
