On Saturday I went to watch the Reindeer parade through Wells High Street, and it was just as cold as I thought it would be! The sun was shining though, so it was a really nice day for it and so many people turned out to watch. There was also carol singing and market stalls, and mistletoe for sale, and lovely Christmassy things like that – if you’d like to see it, please look at my Vlogmas Day 4 video on You Tube! Anyway, my outfit was based around the fact that I can’t seem to wear my red coat with my hat, without the hat sliding up to the top of my head and looking ridiculous. Does this happen to anyone else?
So, as the icy wind meant that a hat was essential for me, I decided to wear my shawl instead…..
The shawl is from Joe Browns (a few years ago) and you’ve probably seen it in other Weekly Wardrobe posts by now. It’s very cosy – I love the softly padded raised collar, so I didn’t need a scarf as well.
My dark green wooly hat I’ve had for years and as there’s no label, I’m afraid I can’t tell you where it’s from. I love the little peak though and I’m looking out for another one like it because there’s a bit of plastic poking out of this one!
I didn’t have to worry about bulkiness under a coat, so this meant that I could wear one of my favourite cardigans – this blue one with the ruffles at the bum. I bought this from Next a couple of years ago and I love it! I wish it had buttons though – I usually find a brooch or pin of some kind to fasten it at the front. I love the ruffle trend, but it doesn’t usually suit me. Anything that looks a bit like a bustle though and I’m loving it!
I wore a basic brown top underneath from H & M. It’s quite a tight one, and stretchy, so I didn’t have to worry about it riding up and revealing a cold belly whenever I lifted up my arms!
The grey soft cord skirt was an ebay purchase and was originally from La Redoute catalogue with the label Edeis. I love the grey plaid print frill poking out at the bottom.
I bought the navy leggings on Friday at a shop called Flock, in Bath. They are 25% cashmere so are really soft and warm. I need more leggings like this in my life. (I already owned a black pair, and I bought a dark red pair at the same time.) If you’re in the area, they are doing a 2 for £25 offer at the moment. (Usually £15 each.) £10 is usually my limit on leggings, but these are so nice, and I wear leggings so often, I thought it was worth it.
My brown suede ankle boots are the same Clarks ones you’ve now seen many times in these Weekly Wardrobe posts. They’re gradually looking more and more in need of a clean each week!

I hope you all stay as warm as you can while you’re out and about this winter!
