Weekly Wardrobe – New Forest Fairy Festival

This the event of the year for my Oshun clothing brand. It is the day after the New Forest Fairy Festival and I am utterly exhausted! It was an amazing weekend; incredibly busy; the sun shone and it was a complete success. Unfortunately it was so busy, I couldn’t leave my stall at all so I only managed to briefly visit one of the people I interviewed before the event. It’s a real shame I didn’t see the others, and that it the only down side of the weekend – other than that, it really couldn’t have been better. Everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere is lovely, so what better place to bring you my weekly wardrobe pictures from! Only one outfit this week as I was too occupied with getting ready for the festival beforehand. I’ll tell you more about the festival in my Monthly Memoir post at the end of the month….

So, as you can imagine, the best way to advertise one’s wares, is to wear them! This is a dress I made for myself ready for the festival last year. In fact, I filmed a You Tube Video of how I made it from a pair of Indian salwar trousers. I have a few others for sale at the moment in the Oshun Creations shop, and it is also made to order in whichever colour you like.

My money belt is the same one I wore around Glastonbury Festival the whole time, and is from Devi. My white sandals, which are so comfortable are from Clarks. Here are similar:

I was so impressed with the effort people made to dress up for the occasion. It was wonderful people-watching everyone walking past and it honestly filled me with joy to see so many fairies! Let me know if you like to dress up and include photos of you in your favourite costume 🙂

Helen you looked great and so did your stand. It was lovely to meet you yesterday. I’m pretty wiped out too today, have managed to unload the car and that’s about it!

Hi Steph! Thank you for coming to find me – I’m sorry I never made it over to your stall – it was so busy! I’ve had family staying for the last few days so still haven’t unpacked the campervan! Must get onto that tomorrow. I hope your Open Studios goes well x
