Well if that’s the case; don’t bother! I looked at Chris at the end of the last episode and he looked at me and just burst out laughing. It was a case of you had to laugh or you’d be angry about it for ages. I’m still angry!
It’s a standard detective drama with the death of a girl reported at the beginning of the first episode. Throughout the series you get to know her family, some teachers at her school, the detective herself and quite a lot about the local political parties vying for the next election. All of it was utterly boring. None of the characters were likeable; even the detective, who, every other episode nearly leaves to meet her fiance, but never does. It’s filmed in such a way that I think is meant to be gritty and cool, but ended up just being grey and dismal, and the characters mumble all the time so you have to have the volume up high to hear what they’re saying. I’ve never known a series to be drawn out as long as this one. And then…(Spoiler alert; but not really…) at the end…
You still don’t find out who f*****g did it! Hours and hours of my life invested into finding out who killed the girl. 13 episodes, all an hour long, and with double length episodes at the beginning and end! I will not be bothering with series 2.
