Garbage

At Glastonbury 2005, Pyramid Stage, 7:20pm SundayThey were excellent – definitely my favourite band of this year’s festival. They played a greatest hits set really, and proved they easily had enough material that in my opinion they should’ve been bumped up the list and headlined instead of Basement Jaxx replacing Kylie Minogue. Anyway, I was surprised as I managed to get really close to the front (maybe the mud was putting people off) so I had a great view of the stage.
Shirley Manson was beautiful and commanded the stage in a very sexy rock-chick manner. She danced and jumped about, came down and walked in front of the crowd barrier, and talked to the crowd – including getting a blow-up doll from a guy near me and taking it on stage to sit on whilst singing Why Do You Love Me!
It was a great set – fantastic energy and I’d definitely recommend going to see this band live.
