The Beauty Bargain you need to know about today!

I am a fan of Boots No 7 beauty products – on the whole they work very well for my skin, so I was pleased to spot this gift pack in the Boots January sale called the No 7 Beautiful Skin Collection. Originally £14, it’s now half price at £7, which makes this a real bargain. It contains small size tubes and bottles of Radiance Exfoliator; Day Cream; Night Cream and Cleansing Lotion. But the main one to note is the full size bottle of Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm. The same size retails normally at £12, so if this is a product you’re likely to use, then the whole pack is an absolute steal. I’ve just bought two packs! My local Boots had stacks the other day, but only a few today, so get out quick to grab this while you can! Or I’ve just found it online.
On a side note, they’re also doing a three for two on Boots No 7 beauty products in their usual price range at the moment and you’ve got one more day to use the £5 off beauty products and £3 off make-up vouchers they’re handing out at the till. (You’d have to work out if the three for two is better value as you can’t use both offers at the same time.)
So there you are – just a very quick beauty tip I thought you might like to know about!

Beauty,

Adagio teas
Tea for people who don’t like tea! (And for those who do.)
October 3, 2018
When Adagio Teas asked if I’d like to work with them, I had to be honest in my reply; that I don’t actually like tea. On my trips to America, this is like saying I’m not actually British, but my main disgruntle is that I couldn’t join in with all the beautiful Instagrams of cups of tea! I do, however like fruit infusions, and the mango flavoured tea I had at the Jane Austen Centre a couple of weeks ago was very nice, so I asked if I could try their flavoured tea….
Making a floral display with vintage bottles
How to make an easy but impressive floral display for the whole year
October 9, 2017
I have a thing for old bottles. Whenever I see one in a flea market or boot sale, I always pick it up; wonder what it once held and who in its history has owned it; but end up putting it down again because I’ve never had a reason to buy it (aren’t I good?!). However, I’ve finally thought of a reason to buy a whole load of them! And because I was impatient, I bought a job lot of vintage clear glass bottles, but actually it would’ve been fun to build up the collection over time, picking one up here and there. I thought this would be a nice quick and easy blog post just sharing my flower arrangement idea, but I ended up being pulled into the time-draining vortex of the internet discovering all sorts of things about old bottles! Did you know there are collectors’ clubs and events all over the country? If I had time for another hobby, I can see that vintage bottle collecting could become one of them!…..
living with hypothyroid disease
Living with hypothyroidism – blame, balance, and being kind to yourself
May 24, 2018
This week is Thyroid awareness week and the 25th of May is World Thyroid Day. It feels like every day of the week and every week of the year is National or International awareness day for something or other. Well, this is mine. I hope we don’t get too weary of these sorts of days and weeks that we become indifferent about them. Anyway, I wrote more about my Hypothyroid disease story on a post a few years ago if you’d like a read of that first; and please scroll down to watch the video I made about it as well…
Feather & Black in Bath, Somerset
Celebrating the new Feather & Black bedroom furniture shop in Bath, Somerset
June 15, 2018
Most of the shops were closing and only a few people milled around the beautiful Georgian streets of Bath as I walked up from the Southgate car park to Northumberland place, a little street to the right as you go up the hill of the main high street. The new premises of Feather and Black are beautiful and is one of those rare shops that haven’t completely hidden all the original architectural features of the building. I’ll be honest though, when I walked into the opening party, I didn’t notice them at first because I was too busy looking at the lovely furniture and accessories….
