I have discovered a gorgeous fabric – organic cotton gauze. It does have some drawbacks though, but I think I have solved them.

A round-up of my successes and failures in the vegetable patch last year. (Another lost post which I wrote in August). This year I planted 3 cucumber plants (All Ridge variety as that’s all they had) and 2 tomato plants (one cherry, one normal). Three days later the slugs had eaten the cucumber plants completely and the normal tomato. Very annoyed right now.

Time to make the most of the beautiful weather and get gardening. The Garden Centre was packed this morning – only just found a parking space. Blowsy and Talulah helped me get the vegetable beds ready.

I’ve just caught up on Lily Allen’s programme I sky plussed. I’m sure she can see how very ironic it is that the voice-over guy constantly tells us that Lily has stepped out of the public eye at the same time as doing a voiceover for the channel 4 documentary she has decided to make with a camera crew following her around…

You may have seen the adverts on shopping channels – this morning I saw Tommy Walsh (from Ground Force and challenge Tommy Walsh) advertising one called The paint wizard pro. It’s the type of roller that you fill with paint on the inside, therefore no need to have a paint tray.
