This was the thing that did it for us. In the past we may even have been a bit snobby about other people who went to Orlando on holiday, (that sort of holiday wan’t our thing,) but when they made Harry Potter World our opinions changed entirely. There aren’t many National Trust places near us, so on a year when we’re not travelling round England, we tend to visit the local places several times. Stourhead is one of these, and although I’ve done the gardens a couple of times, I’ve only just visited the house. These are my thoughts on whether it’s worth the visit…
Glastonbury Review 2011 – Circus & other bits

We missed the circus tent last year due to the intense heat under canvas, however this wasn’t a problem for the first few days! On Friday we got to spend an hour or so in the circus big top, and on Saturday we watched The Infinite Monkey Cage in the Cabaret tent. Here’s my review of those sorts of acts I saw.

Every year I intend on looking at the line-up and discovering some new bands before we go by looking their songs up on You Tube. Mostly, I run out of time and don’t do it at all, or I do it too soon and forget their names by the time of the festival. Next year I will I will I will! I want to know more good music! Anyway, this is my round-up of the musical acts that I did go and see.

It will definitely be remembered as a muddy one, that’s for sure! My daughter can talk for hours on the different types of mud; its consistency and texture and her favourite types! A little bit of mud is not too much of a problem when it’s wet, it is when the mud starts to dry out it becomes more of a problem. It turns to glue. Getting out of the Other Stage field after Jessie J was nigh on impossible. My feet got stuck with every step and it was very painful struggling with my boots. Other than that, I’m not complaining – we were due a muddy one really.
The fence is on its way up!
