I don’t like crowds; particularly in the shops when the January sales start. However, I absolutely LOVE a bargain! So, if I have the funds, I would sometimes go shopping the first week the kids had gone back to school, so at least I wouldn’t be fighting with them along the sales rails! Lately though, I haven’t specifically gone out of my way to go shopping in the sales, but I passed by New Look the other day and bought a couple of things. Then I was seduced by the Joe Browns catalogue that appeared on my doorstep, so I bought a couple of things from there online. Then, I was at Clark’s Village in Street to look for boots for Chris, when I ended up buying a few things there. Ooops!….
On the one hand, I feel I need to justify myself with a big spend like this, but on the other hand, I think, why should I? I don’t want to encourage people to go and spend on things unnecessarily because I’m all about buying quality over quantity and I’m against throw-away fashion, but clothes are a weakness of mine. I never buy things just because they are in fashion though, and I tend to keep things forever, and when their day is done I either use the fabric in Oshun clothes, or they are stuffed into an old pillowcase to become insulation in our loft!
Anyway, back to the fun stuff! I think the best thing to do is insert my You Tube video here as that’s probably the best way to see everything I bought:
By the way, I haven’t stopped wearing that ruffled jumper since that day! It’s just so soft and warm and cosy. I’ve been wearing it with the plain grey jersey skirt, so those items I know already are going to get their money’s worth.
Here are links to the items I could find online:
Have you found any bargains you couldn’t say no to this year?
