A poem for Stephen

We go back a long way
So I wanted to say
On your wedding day,
I’m glad you found Kate
On that Tinder date
When it wasn’t too late,
And in love you fell
So we hear the wedding bell
And I promise not to tell
Of the things that I know
That happened long ago
When on Saturday nights we’d go
To the Dutchman or Half Moon
Maybe sing a karaoke tune
Oh, those days were gone too soon!
They may have been a lot of fun
But those younger days are done
And you have found your special someone
So let’s raise a glass to no more strife
And “Cheers” to a fabulous life,
With the beautiful Kate, by your side, as your wife.
