I still haven’t worked out what to do when I grow up! I’m mainly a writer, an artist, and a fairytale dressmaker with various crafty hobbies! Glastonbury Festival – the calm before the storm

Strictly speaking, it was after the storm as there literally was thunder and quite a lot of rain a couple of hours before we went into the Glastonbury Festival site yesterday evening, but luckily it stayed dry for the time we were there. (addendum: The day after this, there was a massive storm on Friday as well, so even though I meant the title metaphorically, referring to the festival, it actually turned out to be true to life!) I’ve been running Pilton Youth Club for a few years now, and the festival office kindly let us have a look around. I hope you don’t mind my blog being fairly Glastonbury Festival heavy at the moment! This is mainly a photography post….

It was so interesting seeing Glastonbury Festival as it was being put together, though it was sometimes difficult to get my bearings (and a little stressful with two of the boys from youth club kicking mud at each other). It always amazes me how much smaller the site feels without the thousands of people in it – a path that normally takes half an hour to get along during the festival takes five minutes when it’s not on!
If you’re new here (welcome e-festers!), you might like to type in ‘Glastonbury’ in the search bar at the top to see my other blog posts about it, and if you like my style, please click the ‘Follow me on Bloglovin’ button to receive notifications when I add a post. Thanks for visiting; I hope you enjoyed the photos. I’ll definitely be doing a similar thing with my pictures I take during the festival.

Have you heard of the Baader–Meinhof phenomenon? Or perhaps you’ve heard it called ‘Frequency bias’? Have you ever looked around for your new car; chosen a make and model you’re interested in, and then all of a sudden you see it everywhere? It’s the car in front of you in the traffic jam, and then you walk past two more as you walk across the car park to the Tescos entrance. It seems like the universe knows you want that car, and decides to show it to you ALL the time…

Great shots! Can’t wait to get there. Hope it drys-up a bit over the next few days.

Thank you! Shame it didn’t dry up at all. Apart from Monday, it’s been drizzly ever since too. I feel sorry for those people doing the clear up this year.
