I don’t consider myself a fountain of knowledge or an expert in any field, however, people occasionally come to me for fashion advice, in real life as well as online. And they say things along the lines of wanting to know how to dress a bit more adventurously. I’ve even had a request from a couple of people in a marketing facebook group I’m in, to write a mini ebook on the subject! I may well do that, but for now, I thought I’d start a series where I point out some of the details I like in garments that are just a bit different from your usual standard clothing…
Weekly Wardrobe – A pop of colour

This week’s theme at NotDressedAsLamb for #IwillWearWhatILike was a little easier for me to follow, as I do have a few items of brightly coloured clothing, though when it came to looking at my wardrobe(s), not as many as I thought. Last week was pretty uneventful for me, as I’ve still been sewing away at the Bottle Bags and Cup Carriers for Glastonbury Festival – it was quite a relief when I handed them all in a couple of days ago. So the clothing I’ve included in this post is not for any particular occasion….
Fairytale coats

Well, we think we have solved the chimney problem. We were doing well with sweeping it ourselves, but unfortunately, the brush snapped off the end of the stick part way up and we couldn’t get it down again. In the end we decided to light the Rayburn anyway and let the bristles melt. So at the moment, the Rayburn is going really well, but part of a sweep brush is still stuck up there! We’re warmer inside than we’ve been all winter, but the wind outside is icy cold. I’ve been looking around Etsy for some snuggly winter coats to keep warm in on those crisp walks in the countryside…
