Styling a pink chiffon blouse – Weekly Wardrobe

This is another set of photographs we took whilst on our Lake District weekend away; which explains why I’m styling this quite smart outfit with these boots again! Luckily it was much warmer that weekend than it is while I’m writing this, so I was glad to start bringing in more spring-like items to my outfits. This was the first chance I’ve had to wear this top since I bought it in the January sales….

The pink sheer blouse is from Next and it was one of those finds that when you see them all lined up on the sale rail, you like it so much, you’re sure they’ll never have your size. Well, this time they did! I love the dusky rose pink colour; the deep v-neck with the tie, and the pretty pleated detail at the cuffs. Definitely a winner!

I wore it with a skin-coloured vest from New Look underneath for decency and warmth.

I have had the brown floral skirt for so long and is so versatile I’ve worn it a million times. The quality is so good because it looks as good as new still. It was from Peacocks about ten years ago and is a brilliant sturdy cotton fabric. (Proving that cost doesn’t always match quality.) It’s actually a bit big for me now, but as I knew we’d be indulging that weekend, I thought it would be fine, and it was!

Standard black New Look leggings to keep me warm and the same Timberland boots that you’ve probably seen a lot in my Weekly Wardrobe posts lately!

The same blush pink blouse is still available for half price in size 20 on the Next website in the clearance section. Unfortunately I can’t link to the item, so this is the link to the page it’s currently on.

Blush pink blouse at House of Fraser

This one at House of Fraser has similar cuffs on the sleeves.

Or this one by French Connection is pretty.

Here’s a couple of similar skirts that will go well with those dusty rose pink tops:

As I finish this post, the sun is shining again! I hope you’re enjoying bringing spring into your wardrobe!

Thank you Jodie; yes I could wear it over a long-sleeved top when it’s colder. Thanks for stopping by!
