Another little thing I wrote at Writers’ Group this week. This time we were given the (potentially morbid) theme of suicide. We had half an hour to write, and this is what I did – the end is a bit rushed and silly though!

Living in Somerset

Saturday was our three year anniversary since moving to Somerset. This time three years ago Mum, the kids and I went for a walk while Dad went to B&Q for plumbing bits to plumb in our dishwasher and washing machine for us. Before we moved, we said the first thing we’d do is walk up Glastonbury Tor. Three years later, we finally did it! Anyway, here are my thoughts and feelings about the move now.

The Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

On opening night last Wednesday, we treated ourselves to a mid-week cinema trip. So a quick dash to Tescos to stock up on maltesers and popcorn, quickly dress up in our favourite pirate outfits, and away we drove to Yeovil (our nearest decent cinema) to watch the new Pirates of the Caribbean film. At the weekend I took a big bundle of clothing I’d made along with Rain, who bravely modelled them for me in the chilly wind. Here’s a preview of a few of the new collection called Indian Summer, as they are predominantly made from Indian silks and chiffon. They will soon be for sale on my Etsy page. Rio movie review

Sadly I haven’t been on a lovely hot exotic holiday. I have, however seen the children’s film entitled Rio with the voices of Leslie Mann, Jesse Eisenberg, Wanda Sykes, Jane Lynch , Jamie Fox and Will i Am.

Distracted by Indian Silk

I LOVE e-bay! I know I should be concentrating on promoting the Pirate Collection for Oshun, but I couldn’t resist this bargain bundle of Indian clothing. They are all damaged in some way or another, but perfect for transforming into new beautiful clothes.
