Farm Festival review, Bruton, Somerset
October 2, 2014
Oh my goodness – apologies for not posting in absolutely ages! One of the first things I was busy with was Farm Festival  which took place 1st – 2nd August. This review is from a trader’s point of view. We arrived about lunch time the day before the festival opened, and set to work putting together our stall. I don’t know how it took so long to do this, but it managed to take several hours! Although we were ready by nightfall, we quickly realised that the festival wasn’t anywhere near ready….
The Vintage Bazaar at the Cheese & Grain in Frome, Somerset
May 7, 2014
This was a couple of weeks ago now, but what with Easter and bank holidays, time seems to be passing double quick. So anyway, my daughter and her friend were interested and off we went on a sunny Saturday morning to Frome. (Quick car park tip: there was a queue to get in because no-one realised there were several spaces to the right on the exit road. We nipped in on the right (there weren’t one way signs) and got a space straight away!) The entrance cost was £2 each, but the hall was big enough to justify this I suppose, and it was very busy, so people obviously didn’t mind paying the fee.
Kilver Court Wedding Fair, Shepton Mallet, Somerset
March 19, 2013
On Sunday my daughter and I went along to the wedding fair at Kilver Court to see what it was like. I’ve been long married, and my daughter hopefully has a few years yet, but we love all things to do with weddings! I also wanted to check out people’s stands as I’m thinking about taking Oshun wedding dresses, along with wedding related Wicked Faerie Gifts to wedding fairs next year. So I pretended I was organising my sister’s wedding for her, but if you’re planning visits to wedding fairs, this is what I thought of this one…
The London Dungeons
August 4, 2012
I have no photos as cameras were not allowed and I refuse to be ripped off by buying the photos they take! Here’s a tip to save on the ticket price (which, for 4 people is £97 on the door and £77 online); you can get buy one get one free by travelling by train and filling in the form you can get from the info booth or ticket booth; or by cutting out any of the Merlin attraction tokens that Tescos are doing on things like orange juice and cereal. However we paid for ours in full using Tesco vouchers, so we didn’t have to pay a thing. Brilliant!
